"Legrand is a global leading manufacturer of products and systems for electrical installations and information networks. When refurbishing our Birmingham showroom we wanted to add a visual display unit to provide customers with information about our business, products and activities. We also wanted to have live feeds to inform visitors of daily traffic, weather, news and headlines.

When thinking of ways to combine all of these media, the first program which came to mind was PowerPoint, mainly because this is already installed on all of our machines, and also because our corporate information is presented in this format. PowerPoint, however, can be very tricky and time consuming when trying to incorporate different media to play in one show, especially if this needs to be managed on a daily basis. There was also the added complication of including live feeds (traffic, news, headlines...) which, to the average PC user, seems impossible.

The play list style format makes it easy to add and remove content from the show as well as controlling settings like times and days of play.
